It's a long drive to the Canadian border... but a breathtaking
adventure! Here's where we crossed the bridge out of the
U.S.A. from New York over the St. Lawrence River into Ontario,
Canada.

We made our plans early
so we had our cabin
booked. You can't get much closer to the water or the boat
dock here at Harmer's Cabins in Gananoque, Ontario
Canada.

We towed a boat North with us to do some serious
fishing! Being out in Nature and on the water was a good get-a-way for
us!

Rich is a good captain - I check in as first mate. He's better at dealing with the rough waters and huge rocks you have to watch out for! Ship Ahoy, Mate...

We had a grrreat time fishing! We caught some of the biggest fish we've ever caught! Check out this Small Mouth Bass! Oooooh Yeeeah! It was a blast reeling it in! We catch and release all of our fish!

The water on
the St. Lawrence River was super high and turbulent - due to major winter weather. Captain Richie was loving it!
Here is a picture I
took as we came in off the water heading for our cabin.

Here's
a look at cabins 4,5 and 6. We booked cabin #1. We wanted to
be right on the water. After a good day out and
about It was great getting back to the cabin.

The location and Harmer's
Cabins made for a spectacular vacation! This is really like being in
Paradise! So BEAUTIFUL!

For
the week that we were there We got rained on 3 days in a
row while out in the boat. We were drenched most of the time.
The wind made the water more like
the ocean. It didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves! After a rainstorm we enjoyed a fantastic double
rainbow!

We
saw so many wonderful sites! Our time was a trip to remember
for the rest of our lives! And what could be more perfect than
a beautiful sunset to end our day!
